My dear Mr. Rosenbach,

I can assure you that I have had an enormous pleasure to read your letter of May 27th.

I knew that Mr. Joseph WIDENER is coming, as I saw here Mrs. Hamilton RICE, George WIDENER, and Mrs. DIXON, but I thank you all the same, and I am glad to know that Henry HUNTINGTON is also coming, but I am sorry I probably will not be in Paris as I have to take my rest, and I leave Paris on July 10th.

I am awfully sorry to read that business is so bad; it cannot be worse than here. Here in Paris business is under all critic, I have never seen such a season in all my life, but I have confidence in the future and everything will come all right again.

I thank you for all the nice words which you write me in your letter and I look forward with great pleasure to meet you again in America. Perhaps will we succeed later on to make a rather big business together.

Believe me, dear Mr. Rosenbach,

Yours very sincerely,
