Mr. Joseph WIDENER,
Lynwood Hall
[[underlined]] Ashbourne [[/underlined]] , Pa.
U.S.A.

Dear Sir,

The first thing I did on my arrival in Paris was to get the catalogue of the exhibition which took place at the Palaie Sagan and in which your carpet is reproduced. As soon as it will be delivered, I will send it to you, and send you the bill for it to tell you exactly the price which we paid for it.

I promised you to give you some references about the little table by Siessener which our New York firm sold you when I was in New York :

It comes from the collectin of Madame OGER DE BREART.It seems that this lady lived 40 Place Falesherbes, in paris, sad that she was the sweetheart of Sir Richard Wallace. When she died, on May 17th 1886, the table was sold in a public sale and was bought by the father of Mannheim, the expert. Now, this gentleman is dead since years.

The table is not reproduced in the catalogue, but on page 61, there is a photograph of Madame de Breart's home and you can recognize the table on the photograph.
