It is about 15 ft deep and shows drift almost to top; a veneer of loess, 1-2 ft. thick, showing eastward

[[underline]] Cut 7[[/underline]] is chiefly on N. side.

On left part of middle line, a line goes up, then curves down to center.  On bottom line a line starts at the center and curves up ending at the right end of the middle line.]]

The loess is yellow & fossils are found in that lower part.

On the S. side it is over 20 ft. deep, & shows drift to 
top.  Its lower 3 to 6 ft., is more,  an immense mass of blue black joint clay (see sample)
Some of this slumped, as if there were sand under it.
It is seapy.
The N. side is lower
