Cut 9 is just beyond old & new RR crossing.

This cut is about 200 yds long
The yellow loess is of the heavy type & contains many nodules & shells scattered all through.
This is cut on E. side. On W. side cut is lower, but shows Drift, yellow loess, & at N. end a pocket of gray loess.

Cut 10 is to be cut abut 14 ft - It is now about 6 or 7 & shows only drift and about a foot of top soil, & on E side.

Cut 11- also shows on E side only, & is like 10.
  It is located  ^[[at a point]] just before new RR tracks to west of old.

Cut 12 is a 1/4 mi. E of road and is almost all on W. side
The lower part is a heavy joint clay with few pebbles - Eastward it shows calcareous pebbles in normal Kansan fashion for this part of state.
