Base shows drift - 1/3 of the way up a gray loess with iron tubes shows in road and gutter.
Then yellow loess - cut 5-6 ft. deep & yellow loess probably from 5 to 7 ft. deep.  Deeper upward as usually.
[[underline]] Cut 40 [[/underline]] cut marked yellow loess in S.E. part of sec. 22 - Centre - shows blue loess with iron tubes about 1/3 of the way up.  Took sample of  blue & of yellow from near base.  Latter is mottled & rather heavy.
