Mr. Trumble told me that he saw a white Sparrow up town in the road. Father said that he saw it too.

This afternoon In front of J. Jacob's I saw a Chipping Sparrow feeding a nearly grown young one.

September 8, Saturday.
Went hunting this morning. There were a number of English Sparrows by Blachley's bridge. They drank and bathed in the shallow water. They would settle down and flutter an instant and then fly to a willow.
