My dear Cam;

     There is nothing finer than being in the world and still out of it. Egypt is a world without the Nile and a double header with it!

"It flows through old hush'd Egypt and its sands,
Like some grave, mighty thought;
Treading in a dream,"

Freddie and I loaf away the hours gaging on what has been - and [[underlined]]is[[/underlined]] - see post card, and wish other friends of exhausted energy with us.

   The warmth and sunshine excite pleasant reminiscence, which while not altogether the real thing, helps to relieve decrepit desire.  Our kind should be relegated to this blessed land which centuries ago produced Cleopatra for the comfort of Eunichs.  I mean not you, you hero, but [[strikethrough]] us [[/strikethrough]] we of weaker deeds.
