as of Johnson had given me a left-hander.  The sight, however, is improving, and notwithstanding a sty added insult to injury, I am hoping to see clearly again within two or three days.

About the first of November I expect to go to New York for a stay of two or three days, and shortly thereafter to return to Detroit, as I am told that my house is likely to be fit for occupation again ^[[before]] November the 10th.
