P.S.
Pardon the omission of reference to Savage Bill's accident with a champagne glass - Such trifling things can do him no harm. Pin all ribbons on him - He is matchless - and a bird that can't be winged.

More strength and wings to Ed. Walker if he now needs them - He did things for many in a fine modest way. He will be remembered and given a front seat with cushions and ice above.

I hope dear old H.B.L. will bring home every golf cup in Georgia - He too, will be remembered above and below for untold acts of generous heart and mind - think just once of the joy that for so many years he has given the little ones, Sunday noons, at the Childrens Hospital - and all this without honks.

Charlie Warren too has run the C. of C. over bad roads without honks - He is a pilot with brains! I'll never forget his first dinner - talk at one of our Yondotega celebrations - an epic, with blossoms - fine thoughts beautified on all sides - Not a few such, clustering around Yondotega rafters, echo in the silence here - As you doubtless know, my present treatment admits little talking on my part, so you will forgive me in putting one over on the Drs. by writing a volume to you - you are strong and can when you feel like it, be forgiving - try once more for my sake -- C
