Dear Colonel Hecker

I was delightfully surprised to receive the enclosed note from the Hong Kong, Shanghai Banking Corporation at the hour of its opening to business, 10 oclock yesterday morning, as it showed how promptly such a transaction could be accomplished and put in funds for use yesterday - a matter of importance, the details of which are too lengthy for a letter, but they will amuse at the time of one of our future chats.

Your cablegram came with the funds reading "Cabled Teiltree, Sherbet" - In reply I wired you last evening
