The $16.000. cabled here in two amounts, during January, came duly and I think that I shall not have to ask for more.   The Chinese New Year's ends today.  Tomorrow business will reopen, but with out that strong pressure to realize cash that was so noticeable during January.  The Plague is threatening even Shanghai, and it makes impossible many plans that seem attractive to me.  So, I shall finish here as soon as I can and then go to Kioto, where I know of interesting things to do, thence to
