Acc. 24195---Mrs. Genl. J. H. Baxter, #822 Connecticut Avenue, N.W., Washington D.C.--- Thirty-seven specimens of ancient Peruvian pottery, collected by William Tryon, and sent to Genl. J. H. Baxter, Sur. Gen. U.S.A., who owned them until his death. His widow deposits the objects in the Museum with the request that they be labeled and known as the "Tryon Collection."
