[[circled]] 23 [[/circled]] [[underlined]] Cebus capucinus [[/underlined]], Jun. 13, 1959, V. [[3 straight and 1 scribbled line run down the left margin]] as his MGB's; but his BB's were certainly accompanied by more extreme PL with mouth quite widely open. Although the relationship of these B patterns are clear, they are a little difficult to connect with other related patterns I have heard uttered by other animals. Perhaps the relationships of all the B and related patterns (if both adults & juveniles utter the same range of notes) might be represented by the following diagram: ┌────► B Trll │ WB ───► MGB ──┼──────────► Screams │ ├───────► Q ───► QTW │ └──────► BT E also did some select BT this morning. Just before he tried to bite me. It is obvious, I think, that BT can be provoked by quite a wide range of motivation, varying from quite strong to quite weak, as long as the attack drive is strongly predominant. E did BT before brief and not very vigorous attempts to bite. Once or twice, when E was sitting rather unhappily on my shoulder, he made definite "Chewing" sounds!!! He only did one Lsh today - when he seemed to be moderately upset or excited by my approach. Gave Wstl just before and as he did the Lsh, and an L Trll immediately afterwards. [[underlined]] Cebus capucinus [[/underlined]], I. Jun. 14, 1959 Barro Colorado E behaving much as usual today.
