[[lines running vertically down the left margin]]

Some time later, as I walking around the animal house looking at something else, I suddenly became aware that ℙ was clinging to the side of the cage ([[underlined]] nearest me [[/underlined]]), uttering a few Trlls, lots of the MGB and/or M-like notes, and a variety of notes which seemed to range from "typical" Eyk Notes to "pure" Wstl's!

In these circumstances, the Eyks seemed to be nothing more than Wstl's with an "uk" ending.

Some or all of these MGB and/or M-like Notes may be closely related to, or even identical, with the notes of E which I called "WB".

The S Trlls seem to be nothing more than Wstl's with a quaver.

It was obvious, during this last incident, that the Eyk's could not have been very high intensity or very extreme alarm reactions.

[[underlined]] Cebus capucinus [[/underlined]], I October 18, 1960
Barro Colorado

I have only looked at ℙ very briefly the last few days. His behavior seems to be relatively little changed.

When I am near him, but not too near, he spends most of his time uttering S Trll's and single MGB and/or M-like Notes like those described above on Oct. 15. I think these latter notes must be essentially the same thing as the MGB's of older animals; but they are certainly much less bark-like.

He also utters AlB's and Screams when picked up. But I have not heard him utter any Eyks lately.

He seems to perform "chop-licking" much less frequently than when we first got him.

I am slightly puzzled by some of his BB's. These are quite like the BB's of older animals in sound, although a little weaker and less hoarse; but
