Picked it up roughly several times. This always provoked a burst of Trll's. Left it alone a couple of times. This usually provoked single and double BB's, if I remained in the vicinity. Then I put Osk down on the floor (on a towel) and stood where it couldn't see me. This apparently upset it. It began to utter lots of double and triple BB's. Obviously high intensity. Also quite a lot of Trlls. These Trlls were quite loud, but did not have a very conspicuous [[image - oscillating horizontal line]] quality. Rather plaintive, almost like Wstl's. This calling continued for quite awhile The arrangement of the notes was rather interesting. Long periods of alternating single Trlls with double or triple BB's in quite a regular fashion. [[image - illustration of sounds using single squiggly lines alternating with 2 or 3 bold dashes ~~~ - - ~~~ - - - ~~~~~ - - ~~~~ - - ~~~~~ - - -]] etc etc. But then the regular alternation would break down and continue irregularly for awhile, until the regular alternation was restored again. After a while, it became obvious that the third note of many of the triple BB's uttered by Osk was really a B Trll. Presumably a sign of declining intensity. Then I picked Osk up and put it back in its cage, where it immediately fell asleep Exhausted. During this first afternoon, I noticed a few interesting movements by Osk. It performed redirected (presumably attack) biting movements quite frequently when I held it. Biting its towel or its own hands when it could not get at me. Several times, it "scratched" the top of its head. This occurred when
