then engaged in stampeding the cattle and capturing and finally murdering the young son who was in charge of them. It also notices ^[[mentions]] the magnificent elm under which was held the conference between Lord Dunmore the Governor of Virginia, and the Shawnee Chiefs, whereat was made the treaty of Peace of 1774.  It was under this elm that Logan, appearing from the Forest in which was [[strikethrough]] c [[/strikethrough]] situated his town, made his celebrated speech "I appeal to the White Man, if he ever came to Logan's cabin, hungry, and I sent him not away fulfilled, or thirsty and I gave him not drink?" and ending "There flows not in any one now, the blood of Logan.  There is no one left to mourn for Logan now."

This point is of historic interest to all Ohio [[strikethrough]] , [[/strikethrough]] second only to Marietta; in sentiment and pathos, it is second to none in the world.

At the conclusion of this work, I started from Circleville ^[[,]] via Chillicothe, for Washington, arriving on Saturday morning, 13th inst.
