[[underlined]] Brief Report on the Operations of the Department of Comparative Anatomy from January 1 to July 1, 1885. [[/underlined]]


Early in the year a number of exhibition cases were set up in the East-south ranges and in latter part of February a provisional arrangement of the exhibition-series of vertebrate skeletons was effected.  A month later the entire collection of bird skeletons was brought from the Smithsonian building and stored in the [[range?]] . An arrangement was made with the [[?]] of the Army Medical Museum for the exchanges of a collection of human skulls for skulls and skeletons of North American vertebrates.
