The detail of the work for New Orleans was given in the report for 1884 and need not be repeated here. 

Numerous experiments [[strikethrough]] in connection [[/strikethrough]] looking toward the proper casing of the exhibition series have been made, an account of which has been given in the reports for the three last years. The arrangement at present adopted must be regarded as only temporary.
