The skins were chiefly those belonging to the Abbott collection, and to the series deposited by the Department of Agriculture.  A large number of skulls belonging to the Museum were labelled and put into bottles.

One clerk was added to the force, for the purpose of keeping the work connected with the deposits of the Dept of Agriculture up to date.  She was temporarily assigned a room in the East Balcony.  All work connected with the series
