9.  GIVE A LIST OF CORRESPONDENTS WHOSE CO-OPERATION HAS RESULTED IN ENRICHING THE COLLECTIONS UNDER YOUR CARE, AND STATE BRIEFLY THE MANNER AND EXTENT OF SUCH CO-OPERATION DURING THE YEAR.

This has already been partially answered under headings nos. 1 and 6. To repeat - there were 45 contributors during the year of whom 26 presented more than one specimen and 19 only one specimen each.

In addition, one institution gave one specimen and 35 specimens were received from the National Zoological Park.

Dr. W. L. Abbott has been in Kashmir since 1891 and has sent to the Museums numerous mammals of that country both large and small. (See sheet no. 1.)

Mr. W. Astor Chanler & Lt. von Höhnel made an agreement that half of their natural history collections in [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] Somali, East Africa, should come to the Museum. They obtained only a very few mammals, however, though these were of considerable interest. (See sheet no. 1.)

Mr. H. W. Perry has resided in Honduras for some years and has collected and sent to the Museum some half dozen mice characteristic of that country.

Lieut. Roger Wells, jr., was in the island of Trinidad on a mission connected with the World's Fair. He collected and sent to the Museum about half dozen bats.

Dr. E. A. Means, U.S.A. was with the Mexican boundary commission since 1891 and collected large series of mammals of all kinds for the Museum,- several thousand specimens in all.

Mr. Chas. H. Townsend, naturalist of the U.S. Fish Commission collected some [[strikethrough]] small [[/strikethrough]] mammals (perhaps a dozen in all) in Lower California & in Alaska.

Mr. O. F. Cook while in Liberia, West Africa, obtained one or two mammals for the Museum.

Mr. J. H. Camp was located on the Congo, West Africa. He collected 13 bats, 2 mice and a lemur for the Museum.

Mr. Walter Brett of Lakeport, Cal. took pains to collect about a half dozen ground squirrels, etc., for the Museum.

Dr. B. H. Warren of Chester, Pennsylvania, sent in some seventeen bats in alcohol, from Centre Co. Pa.
