10) The Tenyo got away at 3 p.m. The family had lunch on board. Outside a fresh breeze was blowing but sea was not rough.  I have Gould for a room-mate.
11) Day cold with fresh breeze.  There are 6 at our table. Mr. and Mrs. Wietz of Marshall Fields, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon of Korea, a mining engineer, & the Dutchman De Hass.
12) [[Strikethrough]]the[[/strikethrough]] Weather still cool with a NW trade [[?]] & a heavy swell.  The sea was abeam & the Tenyo rolled considerably, at night there was a dance on the boat deck aft the smoking-room.
