Everest is a difficult peak to get a view of [[strikethrough]] from [[/strikethrough]] as it lies far away & only its extreme tip shows on the horizon so there is nothing in the least impressive about the view. This is the view from Tiger Hill 6 miles south of Darjeeling. A much better view can be obtained [[strikethrough]] of the [[/strikethrough]] at Sandaphu [[marginalia]] arrow [[/marginalia]] a 3 days hard ride north west of Darjeeling & at an altitude of about 12000 feet (11930 Ft.) There is a Dak Bungalow here but it is so far out few people make the trip.
