[[note]] O Y [[/note]]

Dear Peck:

Ever so many thanks for your nice note of November 20th. It goes without saying that I was indeed pleased to hear that at long last the two Bonnards and the Vuillard had been released. Since then you have also cabled me that they were leaving on last Monday, that is on the 24th., by air-express, and hope thus that we shall have them here at any minute. However, the necessary papers have not yet been received, unless of course you sent them directly to Bemo shipping Co.

I am much obliged to you for calling my attention the Cezanne portrait, No. 85, of Venturi. I looked up immediately the reproduction in this catalogue, and am sorry to say that it is too early a portrait to be of interest to us. It is indeed a pity, for works by Cezanne of quality are extremely rare, and I would have been glad to find one.

I am also very glad to read that you found Mr. Chadourne so very charming a man.

Now the matter which is still pending, among others of course, is the shipment of the little Spanish pistol, and there again I cannot find any explanation for this delay.
