10th Sept 1933. All sunny, but very strong, bitter, E. wind & no insects out, partly owing to the wind & partly owing to the prolonged drought.

[[underlined]] Coast N. of station road, Gormanston, Co. Meath. [[/underlined]] 
The few insects taken were in the shelter of hedges &c. along the lane leading to the old aerodrome from the shore.

17th Sept. 1933. A poor day, almost raining, warm, with falling glass & strong winds from SE - SW. The first break in weather since 27th Aug.
Drove to Naas & the along Rathangan road to Victoria Bridge (over R. Liffey) & over railway & collected in marsh N. of road & W. of railway from 11.30 till 12.30.
