7th July 1935. A blazing day, sun near obscured, very clear with strong E-SE wind.
Twice made the round of garden, fields &c, at Dunkerron Castle, Co. SK., but very few insects seen & hardly any swept except [[underlined]] D. areolaris [[/underlined]] . Spent most of the day however in clearing off arrears.
[[underlined]] Strangalia aurulenta [[/underlined]], several [[2 male symbols]] & 1 pair in cop. on stumps by the stream near well, S. of old Castle.
[[underlined]] Bombus lapidarius [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] seen, [[underlined]] B. agrorum [[/underlined]] [[2 virgin female symbols]] seen.
B. sp. A fresh-looking [[female symbol]] which appeared to be [[underlined]] terrestris [[/underlined]] seen in lane, but not seen properly.
[[underlined]] Andrena fucata [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] in garden.
[no [[underlined]] Megachile [[/underlined]] seen at all!]
[[underlined]] Vespa autriaca [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] with very torn wings in "wood".
