19th July 1935. Mainly dull, with frequent drizzle all day, after a very wet night & morning : wind, SW & NW, jam.
12 noon till 4.0 PM.
Garden at Roche's Hotel, Glengarriff, Co. WC. (a very few insects taken under leaves of oak &c, between rock garden & the sea, some in old garden NW of hotel, & most in rock garden.)

[[underlined]] Bombus agrorum & hortorum [[/underlined]] seen : 1 [[male symbol]] of latter taken. 
[[underlined]] Vespa sylvestris [[/underlined]] nest in rock garden is under the ground & entered
[[underlined]] V. norvegica [[/underlined]] [[2 virgin female symbol]] seen.
Antaeon ? 1 large [[male symbol]] with curved radius.
[[underlined]] Ichneumon [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] of several species = [[underlined]] I. "emancipatus" [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] I. "tempesteris" [[/underlined]].
