[[underlined]] Agenia variegata [[/underlined]] 1 large [[female symbol]] at about 300 ft. & a [[male symbol]] about 100 - 200 feet higher up; both on dry stone fences.
[[underlined]] Pompilus nigerrimus [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] examined, with [[underlined]] Agenia [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]].

From this cell there hatched a [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] Hylaeus minutus [[/underlined]] in July 1936. AWS. 13/8/36

29th July 1935. Very hot sun, but keen NE. wind 
[[left margin note]] Having sent luggage home direct via. bus to Cork & then train. [[/left margin note]]
Left Glengarriff (Bay Vine Hotel) at 8.50 A.M. & rode on bicycle to Kenmare : very hot in Glengarriff & in sheltered parts of ascent to tunnel, but quite cool on downward ride to Sheen River, where again very hot in shelter. Passed through tunnel on summit of road at 10.30 AM, stopped at gravel pit [[insertion]] = 1 [[/insertion]] about a mile above Drumanassig Bridge, at said bridge [[insertion]] = 2 [[/insertion]], & at very favourite ground by Sheen River two miles below said bridge = 3. Stopped a few minutes at 1 & about half an hour at each 2 & 3, then caught 1.25 train at Kenmare for Dublin. [[separating line]]

[[underlined]] Colletes succinata [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] abundant at 3 & a few at 2, flying over [[underlined]] Calluna [[/underlined]].
[[underlined]] Mellinus arvensis [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] Crabro varius [[/underlined]] abundant at 2 & 3.
