All days very sunny & hot, except 4th Aug., though windy.

[[underlined]] Bombus terrestris [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] , [[underlined]] B. lucorum [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]], [[underlined]] B. muscorum [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] on 4/8/35, [[underlined]] B. agrorum [[/underlined]] [[2 virgin females]] & [[2 male symbols]] , mostly on [[underlined]] Centaurea Scabiosa [[/underlined]] . 
[[underlined]] Megachile willughbiella [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] seen everyday flying up & down & visiting [[underlined]] Campanula [[/underlined]] , retiring early in afternoon to one of the holes in clothes-line post. [[2 female symbols]] working at [[underlined]] Campanula [[/underlined]] & one loaded with pollen seen to enter hole in brick wall, behind tub, at 6.15 P.M. on 4/8/35.
[[underlined]] Halictus leucopus [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] on [[underlined]] Malva moschata [[/underlined]] & [[Labiata?]].
[[underlined]] Crabro [[/underlined]] sp. 1 seen on Rhamnus on 30th July (probably [[underlined]] leucostomus [[/underlined]] ) & one occupying hole in clothes-line post on 4/8/35, P.M. but so far no sign of [[underlined]] C. varius [[/underlined]] since return from holidays. 
[[underlined]] Odynerus pictus [[/underlined]] ? 1 [[male symbol]] seen on 3/8/35.
[[underlined]] Chrysis ignita [[/underlined]] several seen on post.
[[underlined]] Vespa [[/underlined]] [[2 virgin female symbols]] seen, either [[underlined]] vulgaris [[/underlined]] or [[underlined]] germania [[/underlined]] . 
Very few ichs seen! Garden too dry & withered!!
