25th August 1935. A fine day, with hot sun, but rather keen & strong W. wind. With J.F. Perkins & "Jane" Brown. [[underlined]] Glencullen [[/underlined]], for 1 mile above Enniskerry, Co. WI. Noon till 5.0 PM. Most insects taken by sweeping under trees in swampy place by old track, some on S. (right) bank of river, & only a few caught flying in sunlight. Small Braconids again very abundant & many taken & given to me by J.F.P. Most icks given to J.F.P. including another [[male symbol]] [[underlined]] Promethes scutellatus [[/underlined]].
[[underlined]] Vespa rufa [[/underlined]] 1 very prettily coloured [[male symbol]].
Pemphredon   [[underlined]] Crabro varius [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]], with [[next?]]: ? 2nd brood.
[[underlined]] Crabro styrius [[/underlined]] 1 small [[male symbol]] at oak bush above road, in right of entrance gate.
[[underlined]] Strombocerus delicatulus [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] ? late specimen or 2nd brood.
