Dipteron: red, wingless, 2 taken by drain along road, one kept, one sent and BM.
Anthrax  2 on Wild Carrot by railway

21.8.38 afternoon.  3.0 till 4.0 P.M.
Shore of the Broad Lough, 1 mile S. of Killoughter, Co. WI.

All taken with sucker off drift or on shore of lake.  Drift mainly composed of reeds with some sea-weed (Fucus spp.) intermixed. 

Hemiteles or Phygadeuon?  At least 2, possible 3 species!  spp.  6 [[male symbol, male symbol]], 1 [[female symbol]]: common: running about on drift.
Spinolia? sp.?  1 [[female symbol]], short wings, on shingle just at edge of water, 2 yards below "drift".  Clung onto stone very hard!  Cf. Hemiteles incisus Bridg. but does not fit well.
Aphaereta cephalotes  [[male symbol, male symbol]] & [[female symbol, female symbol]] on & in drift.

Shells.
