Warm, wind dropping & many insects out, after a hot sunny day with strong W. breeze. 


Rode to Clondalkin & up Grand Canal to reach above 3rd lock above Clondalkin bridge, Co. Dublin & collected in 2 places.

1 = waste ground S.E. of canal many opposite small house 1/4 mile above 3rd lock.
2 = near path (above & below same) leading to dairy farm [[strikethrough]] house [[/strikethrough]], 1/2 mile above 3rd lock, chiefly near parallel drain
3 = same place but a little further up (i.e. further SW).

Halictus ♂︎♂︎: many swept, all, I think, either calceatus or albipes.
[Not a Bombus seen except 1☿ lapidarius]
Anteon ♂︎♂︎ frequent at 1 & 2:  kept 3 from 1 & 1 from 2.
A. ephippium  1♀︎ at 3.
Selandria serva  1♀︎ at 3; not kept
Tenthredella "sulphuripes"?  1♀︎ only swept at 1: not kept.
Phaeogenid? red ♀︎ at 3, ant. 24 =
