MAYO TRIP.

Sept. 1941.

Left Dublin by 8.0 A.M. train on 30th Aug. & arrived at Westport at 2.30 P.M. A most beautiful day, nearly all sunny after a misty morning, with hardly a breath of wind.

Rode on cycles from Westport to Old Head Hotel (where stayed) & spent afternoon on journey. Stopped to collect aculeates, &c., where road runs beside shore, west of Killadangan & had tea on shore, then rode on to Old Head.

Roadside & field by shore, Killadangan, Co. W.M.
