206.

6th June 1942.

A sudden change during night brought fall in glass & depression from N.W., with strong wind & cloud & misty rain in morning: all sunny after 11:30 AM., but wind very fresh & cool.

Did not go out till after lunch; then walked to Derrylahan, on coast W. of Old Head, carrying tea; after tea went up woods to owls' roost & then did an hour collecting by stream in woods along old road. Not many insects out owing to wind.
