8th June 1942.  

A fine day, with much sun, but a strong keen NW wind made insects shy.
 
Collected a little in wood N & W of Pat's cottage & the quay before lunch (= 1);  & after lunch collected along S. side of Black Hill & edge of field W. of hotel (= 2);  after afternoon tea walked through wood to coast & round Old Head cliffs back to quay, but did not collect.
