Aphidius ♂︎♂︎ common:  none kept except 1♀︎ rosae?, ant. 18.
Proctos.  10 (only 1 Galesus mounted).
Cynipids  2.
Chalcids  1 small, very green sp. (mounted)

Found that from a cocoon of Saturnia pavoniae collected by A.M. Gwynn at – on – 1941, 27♂︎♂︎ & 12♀︎♀︎ of Spilocryptus pavoniae had emerged (probably when I was in Mayo, between 20th May & 9th June!).  All were, of course, long dead.

SWIFTS.
The bulk of our Swifts departed on night of 10th-11th August, but two seen over Fortfield Rd., Terenure, on 13th & one screaming, apparently alone, over our house on evening of 14th.


Taken or seen in garden, 14 Clareville Rd., Dublin, on 13th & 14th Aug. 1942.  
A very hot sunny afternoon after much rain, & a heavy drizzle between 2 & 3 P.M.

Bombus lucorum, [[strikethrough]] terrestris [[/strikethrough]] = probably same ♂︎ as referred to lucorum on p.284, ante., agrorum, muscorum & lapidarius  ♂︎♂︎ or ☿☿ seen in garden, mostly on flowers of lavender.
Crabro leucostomus & C. clavipes (1♀︎) seen at post.
Odynerus parictum ♀︎ seen searching Male fern apparently for larvae of Mnesipatris filicivora which is, as usual, abundant on many ferns.
Chrysis ignita at post & motor house windows.
[[strikethrough]] Phygadeuon [[/strikethrough]] Acanthocryptus? red. abd. ♂︎, ant. 24, tergite 2 micro-aciculate! = 
Agrypon  ♀︎, ant. 35.
Pimpla brevicornis  ♀︎, ant. 21 taken on 14th Aug.
Mesochorus  ♂︎, ant. 31.

Small & Large White Butterflies very abundant recently, especially the former.
