7th Oct. 1942. 

A dull mild day with rapidly falling glass, after 2 fine days;  rather stormy SW wind, nearly raining.  Went by bus to Old Barn & walked up Glenasmole to hut on W. side of lower reservoir, where collected for just an hour, 3 till 4 P.M., & filled two suckers.  Hymenoptera very common, especially Proctos.
