Bombus hortorum  ♀︎ on Lungwort (Pulmonaria)
B. agrorum var.  Very rich fulvous on back  2♀︎♀︎, with last one taken.

29.5.47, cont.  By railway, W. of Killin, Perthshire (at foot of Glen Dochart).  8.30-9.30 P.M.

Some Willows collected for Meikle, mostly along river Dochart, including very silvery bush which looked like Caprea x cinerea or aurita, & a very green shiny-leaved species (♂︎ & ♀︎) along river which looks as if it had nigricans in it, [[strikethrough]] but capsultes (♀︎) smooth. [[/strikethrough]]

Swept in marshy place, with Betula & Salix & took the following:-

Stenomacrus palustris?  ♂︎, ant. 22.
Orthocentrus sp.  ♂︎, ant. 29.
Phenoserphid  ♂︎.


30th May 1947.

A glorious morning with gentle easterly breeze & blazing sun, till early afternoon when clouds appeared & a drizzle gradually developed about 5 P.M. & increased to steady rain by 6.30.

Left Tighnabruaich at 10.30 A.M. & walked to Bridge of Lochay & then up glen through oak wood, with a few odd trees of Scotch Firs of the old Caledonian forest here & there & much birch:  the oak wood stops suddenly at about 700 ft. & above that open grass or heather
