A very warm day, soft & sticky, with almost a gale from S-SE. till sunset.  Drove in afternoon to Landenstown, Grand Canal, Co. Kildare, arriving 3.15 PM.

Swept in three areas, but wind very bad & Hymenoptera hiding.
1 = Plantation & cultivated field behind, S. of same.  3.30-4.0 P.M.
2 = Glyceria filled drain running N. of above field.  4.0-4.45 P.M.
3 = S. edge of canal & parallel drain between canal & road, N. of station 1.  5.30-6.30 P.M.

Left for home 6.40 - home about 7.40 P.M.
