24th March 1950. Another perfect day, gentle cool W. breeze a few pretty clouds, mainly blue sky & hot sun. Had the old Talbot car on the road once more & so in afternoon drove to Glenasmole, arriving about 3 P.M. & at once heard a Chiffchaff in scrub on W. side, between Mr. Doyle's & the lower dam. Left car by the fallen block of calcrete & walked up to upper dam & back, leaving for home about 5 P.M. Heard several more Chiffchaffs while passing up along the lower lake. Tried sweeping by road & under trees in the pine plantation just S. of the hut by lower lake & here took the following -
