Taken at (2) i.e. 3rd pond (W. of wire fence) SW of Gollierstown bridge.

Vol. 1 Ich. 2 = Centeterus opprimator ♂︎, ant. 23.
Oiorhinus pallipalpis  ♀︎, ant. 23.
Cryptinids 2: 1 mtd. = Exolytus?  sp.  ♂︎, ant. 23.
Meloboris black coxae & red coxae: one of each: not mtd.
Other Campoplegid 1: not mtd.
Phaenocarpa eunice Hal.  1 very large ♂︎ ant.30. & 1♀︎, the latter's antennae bitten of by one of the Icks!
Dacnusa 2 = 1 mtd. = D. sp. ♂︎, ant. 28, testaceus tergite 2, &c.
D. (C.) sp.?  ♀︎, ant. 23:  apparently glabriuscula miki, but sternauli distinctly rugose!  AWS. 7.12.60.
Chaenusa conjungens  2♂︎♂︎:  1 mtd., ant. 25, dark legs.
Aphidius cf. pascuorum  ♀︎, ant. 17;  bright testaceous stigma, which had faded to pale straw colour by 10.12.1960!  A.W.S.

25th June, 1950. 

After a wet evening & night;  a clear warm day with a few sun bursts & a few skiffs of light rain, but nothing to matter where we were. 

Left home at 10.30, Daisy, Marcus Graham & I, and drove via Kilcock & Moyvalley to the Boyne Aqueduct, Co. ME., where Royal Canal & railway cross the River Boyne:  collected along canal & in meadow N. of same on left bank of river for a couple of hours, before & after lunch.  Left here about 2.15 & drove on to Ballyhealy Bog, Co. WH., west of Ballivor;  where I sometimes collected before 1939, but have not been since the war:  collected amongst scrub in the cut away bog on both sides of the road, had tea at 4 P.M:  & left for home about 5.30 P.M.  Drove home via Summerhill & Dunboyne, & home at 6.55!

Insects taken at Boyne Aqueduct, Co. ME.  11.30 AM. till 2.15 PM.

Bombus sylvarum  ♀︎ seen at Red Clover by canal;  very fresh!
Odynerus sinuatus?  ♀︎?  On Dog Daisy flower in meadow
Ichneumonid, black & yellow ♂︎ = Ichneumon gracilentus ♂︎, ant. 37.
Cryptinids 11 (AWS):  1♂︎ (G.):  only 2 mtd.
= Idiolispa analis  ♂︎, ant. 28, hind tarsi white-banded.
