Cryptinids 8, Hemiteles gracilis group 5, Pezomachus fasciatus ♀︎ only 1 mtd. = Phygadeuon? sp.?, ant. 20.
Homocidus pectoratorius  large ♂︎ not mtd.
Polyblastus sp.  red abd., black hind femora, ♀︎, ant. 29.
Stenomacrus affinis  ♀︎, ant. 22 (?)
Mesochorus sp.  ♂︎: not mtd.
Aperileptus sp.  ♀︎: not mtd.
Plectiscus sp.  small ♂︎, not mtd.
Bracon crenatus m.  ♀︎, ant. 27;  agrees perfectly with type!
Rogas tristis  ♀︎, black species!  A very dark specimen, black orbits, pale stigma with dark lower border, ant. 45.  A late date!

1st to 8th Oct. 1953.

Anticyclone over British Isles & after Sat. 3rd no rain or wind in Dublin, but calm, mild weather with E. breeze & a lot of smoky wind (? from Lancashire), but at times hot sun, with cold almost forsty nights & very heavy dew.  On 8th tried sweeping in garden in afternoon & took the following:-

Bombus lucorum ♀︎ seen on Arbutus flowers in Butterfield Av., Rathfarnham on 7th Oct.
