Transcription Notes:
Text of the two entries are on small yellow-paper notes affixed to the page (are not modern sticky-notes despite their appearance to modern eyes, because those hadn't been invented in the 1890s). First notation appears to have been written by two separate people. Second note is printed with the Treasury's name. Note apparently written with two different pens. the word 'paid' and citation of Jan. '93 letter apparently written after rest of note. Main text of note is in uneven ink.
