Dear Francois:

Jacqueline showed me the most interesting letter you wrote her some months ago, giving so much news of people we know and a little of yourself: it was a great pleasure although it doesn't give enough details about you.

If you need furniture, I would suggest that you go and dig in Pottier's reserve and take what you [[strikethrough]]basically[[/strikethrough]] require. I would say, a copper bed with springs and mattress or if you want a larger one, there is a kind of Henry II brown bed which is quite horrible but maybe no worse than the metal bed, which also has springs and a mattress. You could also take a night table and generally speaking whatever tables and chairs you would like, including leather armchairs, etc. I repeat, please take what you need and this includes moquette carpets. This would solve your furnishings problem.
