By Seeley's 4:00 A.M.

Nov. 24, 1901.
Tonight I was down by Seeley's. In a weed covered garden I heard a number of Tree Sparrows. I watched to see what [[marginalia]] notes [[/marginalia]] would happen. They gave a number of notes like [[underlined]] tsip [[/underlined]] and having ascertained [[marginalia]] actions [[/marginalia]] that the coast was clear flew up and went into the marsh 15 rods away to roost. The notes sounded as if they were telling each other to start. There were about 25 of them. [[marginalia]] number [[/marginalia]] They flew in a loose flock with a few [[marginalia]] flight [[/marginalia]] stragglers. The flock undulated with a queer wave-like motion. The flight was tipping as usual. It gave a queer impression to see so many fly that way, something like watching the key-board of a [[marginalia]] food [[/marginalia]] piano while it is played. They fed on [[marginalia]] weather [[/marginalia]] Lamb's quarters. A wet snow had been falling.
