Woods near fairgrounds 8:02 A.M.

April 15, 1902
This morning I was down in the woods near the fair grounds. Robins were very thick. They were hunting on a plowed field. One gave a very broken song which was almost like that of a Baltimore Oriole. [[marginalia]]broken song[[/marginalia]] The song was not given together as usual but was spaced off. [[marginalia]]notes[[/marginalia]] They gave a rippling [[underlined]]kle-kle-kle-kle-kle[[/underlined]]. The all seemed to be mated.
