Oak near Baraboo Creamery 7:35 A.M.

April 16, 1902
This morning I was by the creamery when I heard a Golden crowned Kinglet call.
[[marginalia]] call note [[/marginalia]] The note was a high [[underlined]] seety seety [[/underlined]] saw it in an oak.
[[marginalia]] flight [[/marginalia]] It flew out of there for quite a distance and passed very close to me. It flight was bounding and erratic but had a law even to its erraticness for it flew zigzag first one way and then the other with a bounding flight all the time.

Transcription Notes:
Margin notes arranged against relevant section in the text. The margin note is effectively a reference to the text, which it seems clear is what Wetmore meant to do.
