Santa Marta Colombia

Mixed Diglossini I. August 12, 1967
Santa Marta Region

Arrive at CVM camp 1:00pm. This is at an altitude of 7250 ft, according to my altimeter now, 2300m. according to the director of the CVM in Bogotá. It is all pasture just around the camp itself; but I can see USTF not far uphill.

NOTE: The guardian of the camp tells me that the rainy season here is July - December. Certainly the vegetation looks damp now. And fog obviously is coming up.

Everything rather quiet by 5:40 am. I.E. it can -
