Most of the chasing silent and quite unritualized. But once, one of the birds utters R-abbreviated Twitter on landing. [[left margin]] Nocti [[/left margin]] 6:07. Now one of the Noctis is Singing abbreviated phrases in scrub below road. All NODWAH. Stops. Flies back uphill. A few seconds later, hear R-"Zaza" patterns uphill. Presumably the chasing has been resumed. [[left margin]] Albi Scan [[/left margin]] Go on down just below USTF ravine. Hear CXXVII Song. NODWAH. Stops. Hear Albi R. NODWAH. Stops. More CXXVII Song. NODWAH. Stops. Then Scan starts down hill. NODWAH. Then Albi utters R again. Completely overlapped by Scan. Scan stops. More CXXVII Song. NODWAH. Stops. [[left margin]] Albi [[/left margin]] 6:19. A little further down road. See single ♂ Albi ✓73 feeding in small tree with rose-red flowers, edge slide. Uttering "CN"s. Definitely alone. I have seen the same tree visited by hummingbirds both earlier this morning and on previous days. Albi flies off. A couple of minutes later, same tree is visited by single "XX with cinnamon cut-off". Who also feeds on flowers. (NOTE: This hummer certainly did not need Diglossa holes to feed on these particular flowers. They are cap-shaped. But the incident does provide - further - evidence that "XX"s tried to follow male Albis.) [[left margin]] Thalass? Nocti [[/left margin]] Well! Well! Well! "XX" flies away. Then the tree is visited by a Colibri (probably Thalass in this area). Feeds, hovering, on flowers. And then this Colibri is attacked and driven away by a black Diglossa, apparently Nocti✓94!
