Mixed Diglossini, Apr. 17, 1965, VI [] 56 []

Going on a little further, 8:00am, catch another glimpse of what is probably tail end same flock. Includes 1 Firebelly. If this bird really is with the flock, it is now toward the rear.

The flock is now going thru very diverse unburned vegetation.

Lafs begin to sing 8:01. In area thru which the flock paned [[??]] only a couple of minutes ago. Reaction to flocks.

Well Well! Going back up hill. Following circular route. Come across mixed flock 8:05. Definitely largely the same group seen earlier this morning (and in 1962, for that matter) Area dense lush, fairly high scrub. Difficult to see all the birds involved. But I do see, deifnitely in the group, 2 Blue & Orange Tanogers [[??]] (a pair - individuals sticking together), 1 Firebelly, 1 PR, 1 PL, 2 Rugs, and 2 Lafs. All sort of milling around together. Sanagers [[??]] and Altapetes apparently in lead. Rufs and Lafs apparently in rear. Altapetes utter some Twitters. Rest of the birds only CN's. 1 Firebelly j -- Blue & Orange. 1 PL j ----> Blue & Orange. 1 PR f ---> PL. 2 Laf j ---> 1 LAf f ---> Ruf.

8:17. Group still around. Not moving very fast audible but not visible.

[] Laf 68 []

8:20. See single Laf feeding low in scrub. Looking for insects. Apparently has left flock. But their the bird flies off in direction where I can hear flock sounds.

Then I can see part of flock again. Blue & Orange j ---> PL. Then Blue & Orange flies away again. PL does not follow.

Go on a little farther. Apparently overshoot the flock. Come aro
