[[left margin]] Gen [[/left margin]] COMMENT: The fact that I heard no Diglossine Songs this afternoon would suggest that the local Diglossini on Guadelupe are not breeding now (either). August 21, 1965 Guadelupe Arrive same place as yesterday afternoon 5:38 am. Cloudy. Cool. Getting light. Some Atlapetes Whistle Songs. NODWA. Atlapetes shut up. Humer Sings a few phrases. NODWA. Shuts up. Atlapetes resumes. NODWA. Nothing in Prime Eucalypts. Wind is strong! Also, there is an occasional drop of rain. [[left margin]] Humer [[/left margin]] Atlapetes Whistle Songs stop. 5:45 am. Everything quiet. Then I hear Humer singing in Eucalypts where Humers and Laf had territorial disputes a few months ago. NODWA. [[underlined]]But Humer Songs overlap wren Songs completely at random.[[underlined]] Then Humer shuts up. Wren continues. Shuts up. General silence 5:52 am. Then some (undistinctive) hummingbird sounds. [[left margin]] Scan [[/left margin]] 5:55 am Something which sounds like Scan "Chuk" Song. In same clump Eucalypts where Humer Sang earlier. Nothing else audible at the time. Then bird flies off-without being identified [[left margin]] Humer [[/left margin]] 5:58 am. Single Humer flies by. Alone. Lands in low scrub Uttering R as it does so. No Zaza
